Send WhatsApp from Grok Bot in a few minutes

Log in on your Grok Bot's computer, say who gets the text, and the bot creates the key and sends it.

On the bot's computer the browser is logged in to wuapi. The bot saves a key named grokbot, confirms the text, sends with POST /v1/messages, and reads status delivered.BOT'S BROWSERwuapi.devlogged inkey: grokbotsaved, not in chatconfirm the textPOST /v1/messagesstatus: delivered[GETTING STARTED]YOU LOG IN, THE BOT SENDS

This takes a few minutes, and you only do the setup once. Log in to wuapi on your Grok Bot's computer, then tell the bot what to send. It creates the API key itself, and the key never goes in the chat.

#The steps

  1. Open your bot's computer and log in to wuapi.dev in its browser. Click the bot's name in the chat header to open the info pane, then click the live preview to open it full screen. If your number is not linked yet, open Accounts and link it with a QR code or a pairing code.
  2. Tell the bot what to send, from which number, and to whom. One message is enough.
I'm logged in on wuapi.dev. Read https://wuapi.dev/openapi.json and always send from my number +56900000000. Send "Test message from wuapi with Grok Bot" to the Example group and to Example Contact.
  1. When it asks for a key, tell it to create the key from the web, name it grokbot, and save it. The bot uses the logged-in browser and stores the organization key in a private file, out of the chat. If it flashes on the screen, ask the bot to revoke it and create a new one on the same API keys page.
Create it yourself from the web, name it grokbot, and save it.
  1. It shows the exact text and the recipients, you confirm, and it sends. On the run this post is based on, both messages were delivered within seconds. If two groups match the name, it asks which one in the chat. Answer, then confirm.
  2. Next time, say "send X to Y on WhatsApp". It remembers your number. To install the same recipe for other assistants, including the act-on-whatsapp skill:

#Paste this

I'm logged in on wuapi in the browser on your computer. Do not ask me to paste an API key. Read https://wuapi.dev/openapi.json and always send WhatsApp from my number +56900000000.

If you need a key, create an organization key in that browser, name it grokbot, and save it on this computer. Never print the key.

When I ask you to send a message, resolve the group or contact by name and ask if several match. Show the exact text and recipients, wait for yes, then send and tell me when it is delivered. Remember my number.

Developers: the API is in the docs and in openapi.json.

#Questions

Do I paste an API key into the chat?

No. Log in on the bot's browser and tell it to create a key named grokbot and save it. The key stays on its computer.

What if two groups share a name?

The bot asks which one in the chat and waits. Pick one, then confirm. It should not guess.

Do I log in every time?

No. The login and the key stay on the bot's computer. Next time you only say what to send and who gets it.
